With all the craziness in this world, we can’t help but wonder if God is even paying attention. When we examined the life of Noah (you know, the guy with the ark), we discovered that He is absolutely paying attention and will even intervene. So, now the questions is, “How do we get God to intervene?” Wouldn’t you love it if you could just figure that out? *Here is link to the sluice gate video referenced in Rob’s sermon.
Small Group Questions
- Share something you really wanted God to give you but now you’re glad He did not. Why did you want that “thing” so badly? Why do you think God did not give it to you?
- Read Genesis 6:11-7:10. What is most surprising? Is there anything you never read or heard before? If so, does it change the way you interpret the story of Noah?
- Why do think God chose to work in the way He did (i.e. the flood, an ark, the animals, one family, etc.)? Do you think this was the easiest way for God to handle this situation? What confidence does this give you in Who
- To yourself, list some areas of your life where you are not currently walking with God. What would it look like if you were to walk with God in those areas? Share one of the items on your list and how you plan to conform it to God’s plan. Pray for one another as you take these steps of faith.
